1: TEMPUR-Cloud® – $1189 (Save 30%) Ends Soon

The TEMPUR-Cloud is Tempur-Pedic’s most affordable mattress – starting at $1699 for a twin.
But at the time of writing, you can get 30% off on all sizes – from twin to Cal. king – click here to see if this discount is still running.
I personally think that the TEMPUR-Cloud is ideal for side sleepers due to the exceptional pressure relief that the foam provides on your hips and shoulders.
Whilst couples can sleep soundly as the all-foam design soaks up movement to limit disturbances.
See below for more details.
Specs
- Design: all-foam, hybrid not available.
- Profile: 10″ thickness.
- Firmnesses: medium to suit all sleeping styles in the 130 – 230 lbs range.
- Foam: TEMPUR® material based on NASA technology for exceptional pressure relief.
- Cooling capabilities: moisture wicking to absorb sweat and keep you dry.
Recommended For
- Side sleepers – the TEMPUR-Cloud is ideal for side sleepers because the foam removes pressure from your hips and shoulders very well.
- Couples – the all-foam design dampens movements and reduces noise so you and your bed partner can sleep undisturbed.
- Front and back sleepers – if you weigh below 230 lbs then the medium level of firmness should be enough to help keep your hips in good alignment, although you may prefer the medium hybrids or firmer Tempur-Pedic mattresses if you want more support and less risk of back pain.
Considerations
- Deep hug – the foam has deep contouring properties which means that if you’re a combo sleeper over 230 lbs, you may find the mattress more challenging to move around in when compared to a lighter person.
- Spot clean the cover – the outer cover cannot be machine washed; use a fitted sheet and/or a mattress protector to make cleaning easier.
Other Benefits
- Bed in a box – comes rolled up and compressed in a box/canvas bag to make it easier to transport the mattress to your sleeping space.
- 90 night trial – try your mattress for a minimum of 30 nights and return it if you’re not happy before the 90 day mark for a refund less shipping charges.
- 10 year warranty – to protect you against defects, including indentations that start at 0.75 inches, which is twice as good as the 1.5″ industry average.
What’s the Best Price?

2: TEMPUR-Adapt® – $1499 (Save $200) Ends Soon

The Tempur-Adapt is Tempur-Pedic’s most affordable hybrid mattress – with an all-foam alternative also available.
For a limited time only, you can get $200 off ALL sizes for both the hybrid and the all-foam versions of the Tempur-Adapt when you click here (offer ends soon).
The hybrid is ideal for heavier weighted sleepers that need more support and combination sleepers that need more bounce to make switching positions easier.
Whilst the all-foam option is perfect for couples that need maximum motion isolation to avoid night time disturbances.
More info below.
Specs
- Design: all-foam or hybrid.
- Profile: 11″ thickness.
- Firmnesses: medium to suit all sleeping styles in the 130 – 230 lbs range, or the medium hybrid for more support for heavier sleepers and more bounce for combination sleepers.
- Foam: TEMPUR® material based on NASA technology for exceptional pressure relief.
- Cooling capabilities: cool to the touch.
Recommended For
- Side sleepers – excellent pressure relief provided by the foam in both the all-foam and hybrid designs.
- Front and back sleepers – whilst the all-foam design may be suitable for front and back sleepers, the medium-hybrid is likely the best option because the springs can guard against sinkage to help keep your hips and lower back properly supported.
- Combination sleepers – if you’re a restless sleeper then the medium-hybrid is likely going to be better for you because the bounce provided by the coils can help to give you the buoyancy you need to switch positions without getting bogged down in the material.
- Allergy sufferers – the cover has been treated to make it antimicrobial and resistant to allergens like dust mites and pet dander; which is useful if you’re allergic to them.
- Couples – the all-foam design is likely the best option for dampening movement, but the hybrid is also a fair option because the coils are individually wrapped to dissipate motion.
Considerations
- Mobility – whilst the hybrid offers more bounce, the foam in the upper comfort layer is still quite spongy so you may find that mobility isn’t as smooth when compared to a traditional spring mattress with a thinner upholstered layer.
Other Benefits
- Equal pricing – no need to pay extra if you go for the hybrid over the all-foam option.
- The hybrid likely sleeps cooler – if you’re a warmer sleeper then you’ll probably prefer the hybrid option because the coils can help to increase airflow and dissipate heat to aid with temperature regulation.
- 90 night sleep trial – return in the 30-90 day window if you aren’t happy.
- 10 year warranty – covers you against manufacturing defects.

3: TEMPUR-ProAdapt® – From $2499 (Best Overall)

Based on my analysis, I would say that the Tempur-ProAdapt is Tempur-Pedic’s most well rounded mattress because the different firmness options make this mattress suitable for just about every sleeping style and position.
Check for discounts here on TempurPedic.com and snap up any deals that you can find.
Because as one of the most popular mattresses in the Tempur range, you’ll be lucky to snag a saving.
Specs
- Design: all-foam or hybrid.
- Profile: 12″ thickness.
- Firmnesses: soft, medium, medium-hybrid, firm.
- Foam: TEMPUR-APR® for added support and TEMPUR-ES® in the soft version for greater pressure relief.
- Cooling capabilities: cool to the touch with SmartClimate® technology.
Recommended For
- Side sleepers – the soft version is ideal for side sleepers because it leverages the TEMPUR-ES® comfort layer for greater pressure relief. The medium, medium-hybrid, and firm options are also suitable for side sleepers in the 130 – 230 lbs range and above.
- Front and back sleepers – the soft version is probably best avoided for all but the lightest front and back sleepers under 130 lbs; whilst the medium, medium-hybrid, and firmer options are likely the best options for average and heavier weighted front and back sleepers to aid with hip and spinal support.
- Combination sleepers – the medium, medium-hybrid, and firm options are probably going to be better than the soft version for restless sleepers that need more surface tension so that they can switch positions more fluidly.
- Heavy weighted sleepers – the medium-hybrid should provide better support for heavier weighted sleepers over 230 lbs.
- Lighter weighted sleepers – the softer firmness is likely going to allow sleepers under 150 lbs to sink into the materials more than the firmer options and thus provide greater pressure dissipation on your joints for deeper comfort.
- Couples – the all-foam options should provide the most amount of motion isolation, whilst the hybrid may still do a fair job due to the individually wrapped coils.
- Allergies – the cover is designed to be anti-microbial to ward off dust mites that are common triggers for those with respiratory sensitivities and asthma [1].
Considerations
- Limited discounts – the TEMPUR-ProAdapt is one of Tempur-Pedic’s most versatile and popular mattresses, so if you see a discount you should snap it up because they’re unlikely to be available often.
Other Benefits
- Washable cover – the cover zips away so that you can wash it in the machine for greater convenience.
- Split sizes available – order in split king or split Cal. king for use with compatible adjustable bases (click the button below and then select ‘shop’ from the top menu on TempurPedic.com to view compatible adjustable bases).
- 90 night sleep trial – return in the 30-90 day window if you aren’t happy with your mattress for a full refund less shipping changes.
- 10 year warranty – covers you against manufacturing defects.
- 0% APR – pay on finance with no interest to make payments more affordable.

4: TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt® – From $3199 (Best For Side Sleepers)

The Tempur-LuxeAdapt uses TEMPUR-APR+® technology to maximize pressure relief and increase support by 30%.
This makes it one of the best mattresses that TempurPedic makes for side sleepers in the ‘soft’ level of firmness because it removes discomfort on your hips and shoulders whilst also keeping you in good posture to guard against back pain.
See below for more details.
Specs
- Design: all-foam, hybrid not available.
- Profile: 13″ thickness.
- Firmnesses: soft or firm.
- Foam: TEMPUR-APR+® for 30% more conforming support.
- Cooling capabilities: cool to the touch with SmartClimate® technology.
Recommended For
- Side sleepers – the soft firmness will likely be the best option for providing the best pressure relief if you weigh under 230 lbs.
- Front sleepers – the firmer option will probably be the better choice if you’re a stomach sleeper to help keep your hips well supported.
- Back sleepers – most back sleepers will probably prefer the firmer feel, although the softer option may be viable if you’re under 150 lbs too.
- Combination sleepers – the greater surface tension provided by the firmer option will likely make switching positions easier when compared to the softer feel.
- Lighter weighted sleepers – if you’re under 150 lbs then the softer feel may allow you to sink further into the mattress for greater pressure dissipation.
- Allergies – the cover can help to prevent dust mite penetration and limit allergic reactions.
- Couples – the all-foam design of either firmness option should provide good motion isolation for couples.
Considerations
- Heavier weighted sleepers – if you weigh more than 230 lbs then you may prefer the hybrid versions of the TEMPUR-Adapt, TEMPUR-ProAdapt, or the TEMPUR-breeze for more support and less sinkage.
Other Benefits
- Washable cover – the cover zips off and is machine washable for greater convenience.
- Split sizes available – order in split king or split Cal. king for use with compatible adjustable frames (click the button below and then select ‘shop’ from the top menu on TempurPedic.com to view compatible adjustable bases).
- 90 night sleep trial – try for a minimum of 30 nights and return it before the 90 night mark for a refund less shipping.
- 10 year warranty – covers you against manufacturing defects.

5: TEMPUR-breeze° – From $3499 (Best For Sleeping Cool)

If you’re a warmer sleeper then your best option is to go for a mattress out of TempurPedic’s Tempur-breeze° range.
The PRObreeze° medium-hybrid and any of the LUXEbreeze° models are probably the most cooling selections.
See below for more details.
Specs
- Design: all-foam or hybrid.
- Profile: 12″ (PRObreeze°) or 13″ (LUXEbreeze°).
- Firmnesses: PRObreeze° – medium or medium hybrid; LUXEbreeze° – firm or soft.
- Foam: TEMPUR-CM+™ for better airflow (both models); Ventilated APR® for maximum airflow and breathability (LUXEbreeze° only).
- Cooling capabilities: sleeps up to 3° cooler (PRObreeze°) and 8° cooler (LUXEbreeze°).
Recommended For
- Warmer sleepers – the PRO medium-hybrid or any of the LUXE options are likely the best selections for sleeping cool.
- Side sleepers – the medium options of the PRO should be suitable for side sleepers, whilst the soft version of the LUXE is likely to offer the best pressure relief overall.
- Front and back sleepers – the medium options of the PRO and the firm version of the LUXE should be fine for stomach and back sleepers.
- Combo sleepers – the medium options of the PRO and the firm version of the LUXE should provide the surface tension that you need to switch positions smoothly if you’re a restless sleeper.
- Lighter weighted sleepers – if you’re under 150 lbs then the softer feel of the LUXE may provide the most amount of pressure dissipation in your joints.
- Heavier weighted sleepers – if you’re over 230 lbs then the PRO medium-hybrid should give you the extra support you need.
- Couples – the all-foam designs of the PRO and LUXE are likely to provide the most amount of motion isolation.
Considerations
- Price – the TEMPUR-breeze° range is the most expensive set of mattresses offered by TempurPedic, so going for the 0% APR financing options is probably the best way to spread your payments out and increase affordability.
Other Benefits
- Washable cover – the cover zips off and is machine washable to make cleaning easier.
- Split sizes available – order in split king or split Cal. king for use with compatible adjustable frames (click the button below and then select ‘shop’ from the top menu on TempurPedic.com to view compatible adjustable bases).

Tempur-Pedic Mattress Buying Guide
Tempur-Pedic (now part of Tempur Sealy International) are one of the most established and trusted names in the US and international mattress industry and has a market cap of $3.91B as of July 2020 [2].
Tempur-Pedic was founded in 1992 and pioneered the first wave of viscoelastic memory foam mattresses based on the original research by Charles Yost under contract for NASA [3].
Today, Tempur-Pedic is a registered Space Certification Partner which demonstrates that Tempur-Pedic still has a viable link to the space program through their products and offers a mark of innovation, comfort, convenience, and dependability [4].
There are many other companies on the market that offer memory foam mattresses, but the foam in those models won’t be exactly the same as that found in Tempur-Pedic’s mattresses because TEMPUR® Material is patented – which means that the exact formula for the foam is kept a secret.
Below is an overview of the potential benefits and considerations that you might like to weigh up to help you decide if a Tempur-Pedic mattress is right for you; after which is a walk-though to help you narrow down your search for the best Tempur-Pedic mattress for you.
Tempur-Pedic Benefits
TEMPUR® Material (or TEMPUR® Foam) is Tempur-Pedic’s proprietary foam blend that offers the contouring properties of ‘traditional’ memory foam but with a faster response time so that you can move around in the mattress more easily without getting bogged down in the materials.
Tempur-Pedic’s mattresses are popular because they are able to provide better ‘pressure relief’ on the more angular areas of your body that are typically pain hot spots – like your hips and shoulders – when compared to a traditional spring mattress that can cause friction points due to the springs jutting up through the upholstered top layer.
This is possible because the TEMPUR® Material adjusts in response to your body heat and pressure so that the upper foam layers mould to your exact body shape that removes discomfort and helps to cradle your spine and joints.
These adaptive qualities may help you to get a deeper and more restorative sleep because this reduction in pressure means that the chance of you shuffling around due to subtle discomfort and then waking up may be reduced.
The foam used by Tempur-Pedic is typically of a higher density when compared to the foams used in cheaper memory foam and polyfoam mattresses – which means that Tempur-Pedic’s mattresses will typically last longer because higher density foams don’t wear out as fast.
Tempur-Pedic’s mattresses do NOT contain fiberglass – a substance that when released from cheaper foam mattress can cause health problems and even ruin your home.
And with the exception of the hybrids, Tempur-Pedic’s mattresses are made exclusively from foam layers – which can benefit couples because the all-foam design can help to dampen movements and reduce noise better than a spring mattress typically can.
Tempur-Pedic Considerations
If you’re a warmer sleeper then you may find that sleeping on an all-foam mattress that contains heat retaining memory foam will likely cause your temperature to increase.
In which case you should consider the TEMPUR-breeze° range which has been specifically designed to regulate your temperature better than a regular memory foam mattress can.
More specifically, going for the TEMPUR Hybrid PRObreeze may be the best option because the coil core can encourage more air flow than the all-foam alternatives, whilst the TEMPUR-CM+™ material can help to dissipate heat further to help you sleep around 3° cooler on average.
Alternatively, you can go for the LUXEbreeze which – whilst being an all-foam bed – is designed to sleep 8° cooler on average through the addition of Ventilated APR® technology that leverages air channels to enhance airflow even more.
Beyond this, the other main consideration is deciding if paying a premium price really is worth it.
If the specifications signify that one of the Tempur-Pedic mattresses on this list is a good fit for you, then it really becomes a question of how long you can expect your mattress to last.
And you could expect your Tempur-Pedic mattress to last up to 10 years or more with the correct care (especially the hybrid versions with their robust coils), whilst cheaper all-foam mattresses from other brands may begin to sag and indent after just a few years or even months.
So if you want a quality mattress that’s going to last, going for a TempurPedic could be worth the extra cost – especially when the better durability could mean avoiding the headache of even having to think about buying another mattress for the next decade or more.
Who Should Buy a Tempur-Pedic Mattress?
The Tempur-Pedic range caters to just about every type of sleeping style but you especially might want to consider buying a Tempur-Pedic mattress if you fit one of the following sleeper types:
- Side sleepers – Tempur-Pedic mattresses are perfect for side sleepers because the TEMPUR® Material is excellent at relieving pressure on the hip and shoulder regions; which are the main areas of discomfort when sleeping on a traditional spring mattress.
- Lighter weighted sleepers – if you’re under 150 lbs then the TEMPUR® Material can help to remove compression forces on your joints and alleviate discomfort in those areas by allowing you to sink further into the materials and dissipate the pressure; especially when you opt for the softer firmnesses over the firmer selections.
- Couples – the all-foam designs of the non-hybrid versions are typically an excellent choice for couples because the material can dampen movements very well so that you’re less likely to wake each other up as you move around during the night or sit on the edge of the bed.
1: Choose the Firmness
The first step towards picking out your ideal Tempur-Pedic mattress is to decide on the firmness level.
Mattress firmness describes how hard or soft the mattress feels when you lie down on it.
This means that whilst the TEMPUR® Material will adapt and soften in response to your body weight and shape, the softer firmnesses will have a more ‘enveloping’ feel when compared to the firmer selections because in the latter case, the greater surface tension will mean that you tend to lie more ‘on’ the materials than ‘in’ them.
Firmness differs from support.
Mattress support describes how well the lower layers of the mattress are able to contribute to keeping your spine neutrally aligned and free from discomfort.
Picking the right firmness can be tricky.
Because the final comfort levels of a mattress are influenced by your individual body weight, body shape, and dominant sleeping position.
However, most sleepers in the 130 – 230 lbs range will feel comfortable in a medium or universal firmness selection.
Whilst softer firmnesses tend to favour side sleepers, lighter sleepers, and sleepers with a skinnier body type due to the greater pressure relief and capacity for material compression.
And firmer firmnesses are typically better for front sleepers, back sleepers, combination/restless sleepers, and heavier weighted sleepers because the greater surface tension can keep you more ‘on top’ of the materials to keep your hips neutrally aligned and make switching sleeping positions more fluid.
Personal preferences can certainly override these guidelines, but the table below can help point you in the direction of selecting the best firmness level for your new Tempur-Pedic mattress.
Firmness | Best For |
Soft | Side sleepers, skinny sleepers, and lighter weighted sleepers under 150 lbs. |
Medium | Front, back, side, and combo sleepers in the 130 – 230 lbs range. |
Firm | Front, back, and combo sleepers over 230 lbs. |
2: Add Secondary Preferences
After you’ve selected the firmness, you’ll want to consider the following secondary preferences to help narrow down your mattress selection even further.
- Thickness – a thicker mattress is typically better for heavier weighted sleepers because the added material depth allows for greater material compression and support. And whilst the 10″ profile of the TEMPUR-Cloud® should be just fine for sleepers up to 230 lbs, you might want to consider the 11″ profile of the TEMPUR-Adapt®, the 12″ profile of the TEMPUR-ProAdapt® and the PRObreeze°, or the 13″ profile of the TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt® and the LUXEbreeze° if you weigh more than 230 lbs or want a mattress with more depth.
- Hybrid – if you’re over 230 lbs, are a restless sleeper, or want a mattress with more bounce, then you might want to consider the hybrid options available for the TEMPUR-Adapt®, TEMPUR-ProAdapt®, or the PRObreeze° because the inclusion of more than 1000 spring coils can help to provide more support, increase responsiveness, and make it easier to switch positions when compared to the all-foam options.
- Cooling features – if you’re a warmer sleeper or live in a warmer climate then you might prefer to go for the TEMPUR-breeze° range to help with temperature regulation; the hybrid designs can also help to increase airflow and cool you down too.
3: Save and Spread the Cost
If you click the button below, you can see if Tempur-Pedic are currently running any discounts on their mattresses, toppers, pillows and bedding to help save you some money.
